its a polaroid camera- it was on zoom and me and my friend were taking pictures. It fell and landed on the lens, not its jammed and wont turn on! I got it in april and don’t have the box anymore, what should i do? Is there any way to fix it?
is there any way to fix it myself, or anywhere i should go?
My camera will not even respond, turn on, anything( yes i have checked the batteries) and i LOST the box which INCLUDED THE WARRANTY
I’ve recently become very interested in amateur photography. This interest started after I looked at some random polaroid shots on flickr or some other similar site.
There’s just one thing I need to do: Buy a camera. I have an old Land Camera from the early 50s that belonged to my Grandfather but I’m afraid it wouldn’t be too reliable and it’s not something I’d want to mess up. So I either want to buy another Polaroid camera or another older camera. I’d also like to mention that I don’t like the ‘throw-aways’ that much; I think it’s the dimensions of the film that bugs me. I also don’t reallly want to do anything digital.
I’d appreciate any suggestions on Cameras, film, or anything else. Feel free to send me a message and thanks for your help.
When I was young (about 20 years ago) I took a picture with a polaroid camera. When the picture developed, there was a face of a woman, somewhat blurry and she was transparent. she was also not smiling. There was no one else in the room with me, and there were no pictures taken recently of anyone who looked like that, particularly no pictures of someone not smiling. Is this the real thing, or could it be some sort of double exposure?? I grew up in a very creepy house, and that is where this picture was taken. In fact, the house I grew up in was a new development on land that had never been developed before. When I took the picture, my parents were putting in a pool and an additional garage in the backyard (that is what I was taking the picture of). This woman had to have been directly in front of me.
If anybody knows about poloroids (the camera was bought in the late 80s), please let me know!!
the image was not due to aging.. it showed up immediately. it is quite clearly the face of a person in front of my camera..

I am no professional photographer – just a girl who finds the idea of instant photography irresistibly charming. What kind of camera would you suggest me to buy? I really like old Polaroid cameras – SX-70 Land Camera and OneStep – but I don’t know if I’ll manage to make succesful photos with these, especially now that the original films are out of production and there are only the Impossible Project films. New instant cameras are ugly but I guess they’ll be more usable, right? I just hope that the photos they make won’t be too perfect – otherwise the sense of uniqueness would be lost…
What camera would you recommend me?
Thanks to both of you, great answers It will be either the Fuji or Diana with an instant back. I really can’t choose best answer, so I’ll put the question to vote now.
I already use a Nikon D3000, a Polaroid 250 Land Camera, a Polaroid Big Shot, a self-made pinhole camera that uses 35mm, and I’m beginning to use my mom’s old Samsung Evoca 170se.
I was looking into getting an SLR film camera and I was wondering if there was a good model that I could start with. I’m leaning towards Canon.
